Rumor Sparks X-Men Buzz Ahead of Avengers: Doomsday
Rumors are swirling that Scream star Neve Campbell has been cast as Polaris and may be stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Polaris, aka Lorna Dane. While Marvel Studios has not confirmed the casting, speculation is heating up—especially with Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon.
According to sources Neve Campbell has been cast as Polaris in a new X-Men crossover in the MCU (see marvel comics movie timeline for all movies)
Who is Polaris?
First introduced in X-Men #49 (1968), Polaris is a powerful mutant with the ability to manipulate magnetic fields, similar to her infamous father: Magneto. Often depicted with green hair and an unpredictable temper, Polaris has played roles both as an X-Man and as part of X-Factor.
Her Powers
Polaris possesses magnetokinesis, allowing her to control metal, generate force fields, and even fly. Her abilities are on par with Magneto’s, and in some storylines, she has inherited his will—and his rage.
Family Drama
The reveal that Magneto is her biological father adds emotional depth to Polaris’s arc. Her struggle for identity, morality, and family loyalty has made her a standout character among the X-Men roster.
How She Could Appear in Avengers: Doomsday
If the multiverse or mutant gene is explored further in Avengers: Doomsday, Polaris could be introduced as a key mutant figure, bridging the gap between the X-Men and Avengers franchises. With Kang or another cosmic threat looming, a character like Polaris—with deep mutant ties and immense power—could be vital.
Neve Campbell, known for playing strong, complex women, could bring a grounded intensity to Lorna Dane. Whether she appears in Doomsday or in a future X-Men revival, the MCU might just be getting greener—and meaner – so is it true that Neve Campbell has been cast as Polaris? we will keep you posted here and across all our social channels.
