Overview

Alice in Borderland Storyline

Aimless gamer Arisu and his friends suddenly find Tokyo deserted and discover they have been transported into a strange parallel world known as the Borderland. Survival depends on entering deadly games whose difficulty and style are represented by playing cards, pushing Arisu to use his intelligence while searching for answers and a way home.

Alice in Borderland Review 9/10

The game design is inventive, the tension is relentless and Arisu gives the spectacle an emotional centre. Some of the manga-style extremes can feel heightened in live action, but the series commits so completely to its world that the craziness becomes part of the appeal. At 9/10, this is an easy one for us to recommend. It is not completely flawless, but the strengths comfortably outweigh the rough edges and it is a title we would happily return to.
