Following the high-stakes events of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the blue blur returns for his biggest adventure yet. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Review - 7/10 Rating
We gave Sonic the Hedgehog 3 a solid 7/10 — a fun, energetic, and emotionally satisfying continuation of the series. While it sticks close to the successful formula of its predecessors, the film ups the ante with the highly anticipated introduction of Shadow the Hedgehog, bringing a darker and more intense edge to the franchise.
Ben Schwartz continues to shine as Sonic, blending humor with heart, while Idris Elba’s Knuckles adds charm and weight. The chemistry between Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles has matured, making their bond feel earned and heartfelt. The human subplot remains light and unobtrusive, keeping the spotlight on the real stars — the Sonic crew.
Though not perfect — with a few predictable beats and pacing lulls — Sonic 3 successfully delivers fan service and entertainment for viewers of all ages. The action scenes are slick, the humor lands, and the emotional stakes feel bigger than ever. A strong entry that sets the stage for future stories in the Sonic cinematic universe.
