Blade (1998) Review - 8/10 Rating

Blade does not get enough credit for changing superhero cinema. Before the modern comic-book boom, this film proved audiences would absolutely show up for darker comic adaptations if they were cool enough. Wesley Snipes is perfect casting, the opening blood-rave scene is legendary, and the action still hits hard. Stylish, violent and confident, Blade helped build the road that later led to X-Men and Spider-Man dominating the genre.
