We have rated this 8 out of 10. Guardians of the Galaxy should not have worked on paper and somehow became one of Marvel’s best films. James Gunn makes the team feel instantly lovable, Chris Pratt sells Star-Lord’s charm, and Rocket and Groot became global icons almost overnight. The soundtrack is brilliant and the emotional beats land harder than expected. It turned Marvel’s weirdest gamble into one of its smartest wins.
