Why Toy Story Became Pixar’s Greatest Franchise
Toy Story succeeded because it combined groundbreaking animation with universal themes about friendship, loyalty, growing up and finding purpose. While the technology impressed audiences in 1995, it was the characters that kept people returning for decades.
The franchise also evolved alongside its audience. Children who grew up with Andy experienced many of the same life changes reflected throughout the films, helping Toy Story become more than just an animated series.
