The Umbrella Academy (2019) Storyline
The Umbrella Academy is the Netflix series based on the Dark Horse Comics created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Ba. The story follows a dysfunctional family of adopted super-powered siblings who reunite after the death of their eccentric billionaire father, Sir Reginald Hargreeves. As old tensions resurface, the siblings uncover secrets connected to time travel, alternate realities and multiple impending apocalypses. The series mixes superhero action, emotional family drama and bizarre dark comedy, creating a unique comic-book adaptation that feels very different from traditional superhero franchises.
