Predator: Badlands Storyline
Predator: Badlands takes place in a remote, lawless region known as the Badlands, a harsh environment scarred by years of conflict, abandoned settlements, and secrets buried in the dirt. When a series of violent disappearances rattles a small frontier outpost, survivor Lena Briggs (Elle Fanning) uncovers evidence that something far more lethal than human raiders is hunting in the territory.
As she crosses paths with Kai (Dimitrius), a hardened tracker with his own history of loss, the two discover they’re being watched by a silent and highly intelligent alien hunter.
The Predator’s arrival turns the region into a battlefield where weapons, terrain, and strategy determine who lives long enough to see the next sunrise. Lena must push beyond fear, confront her past, and outthink a creature bred for perfection in the art of killing.
In the Badlands, the strongest doesn’t always survive — only the smartest.

We have rated this 8 out of 10. After catching the exclusive 20-minute preview at MCM Comic Con London, we went into Predator: Badlands with high expectations — and the final film delivers a brutal, atmospheric, and refreshing take on the iconic sci-fi franchise.
Set against a hostile, lawless frontier, Badlands strips the Predator mythos back to its core: survival, strategy, and the deadly beauty of the hunt. Rather than relying on over-the-top spectacle, this entry focuses on suspense, grounded character drama, and the eerie tension that made the original 1987 film so legendary.
Elle Fanning brings one of the strongest performances the franchise has seen in years, playing a survivor forced to rely on grit, intelligence, and instinct. Dimitrius stands out as well, delivering physical intensity and emotional depth that add weight to the story.
The Predator itself is terrifying — leaner, more primal, and more unpredictable. The creature design blends classic elements with new bio-tech touches without ever losing that brutal, animalistic presence fans love.
The pacing is tight, the world-building is clever, and the action hits hard. It’s not just another sequel — it’s the franchise evolving.
