The Flash follows Barry Allen as he uses his speed to travel back in time and try to save his mother, accidentally breaking reality and creating a multiverse crisis. With worlds colliding and old heroes returning, Barry must learn that some tragedies cannot be rewritten. Based on DC Comics, the film leans heavily into Flashpoint-inspired multiverse storytelling.
The Flash is messy, nostalgic and surprisingly emotional in places. Michael Keaton returning as Batman carries huge legacy weight, while the emotional core around Barry and his mother works better than the internet jokes suggest. The CGI became the main talking point, but underneath that is a story about grief and acceptance. Flawed, but not without heart.
