Black Adam Storyline

In the ancient land of Kahndaq, a slave rises against tyranny after being granted god-like powers by the Council of Wizards. Known as Teth-Adam, he becomes a legend… and a warning. Nearly 5,000 years later, he is awakened into a modern world still plagued by violence and oppression.

Now called Black Adam, his return draws the attention of the Justice Society of America (JSA) — including Hawkman, Doctor Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone — who seek to contain his unchecked power. But as dark forces rise in Kahndaq and its people cry out for a protector, Black Adam must choose: will he be the world’s destroyer, or its savior?

This origin story redefines the anti-hero archetype in the DCEU and sets the stage for epic confrontations to come.

Black Adam Review - 8/10 Rating

We rated Black Adam a strong 8/10 — a visually intense, action-heavy spectacle that finally brings one of DC’s most powerful anti-heroes to the big screen. Dwayne Johnson commands the role with gravity and physicality, portraying a character torn between vengeance and justice.

The introduction of the Justice Society adds depth and fan service, especially with standout performances by Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman. While the plot follows a familiar path, the sheer energy, intense combat scenes, and darker tone give it a unique flavor in the DCEU.

Some of the humor and supporting character arcs feel underdeveloped, but overall, it delivers exactly what fans were hoping for: power, mythology, and a whole lot of lightning.
