We loved this film — and while it may not be flawless, X-Men Origins: Wolverine delivers what it promises: intense action, rich backstory, and a deeper look at the man behind the claws. It’s gritty, emotional, and unrelenting in its pace.
Hugh Jackman once again proves why he is Wolverine — bringing depth, pain, and fury to the role like no one else can. His dynamic with Liev Schreiber’s ferocious Sabretooth is one of the film’s best elements, turning their brotherly rivalry into a compelling, tragic thread that runs throughout.
The film gives us long-awaited live-action debuts of characters like Gambit, Deadpool (in early form), and Blob, and while it takes some creative liberties, it leans into the comic book fun with high energy and style. The Weapon X sequence, in particular, is brutal and unforgettable.
The visuals, fight choreography, and emotional moments elevate this origin story beyond a typical prequel. It’s a solid entry in the X-Men franchise, and one that deserves more appreciation than it often gets.
