Moon Knight Storyline

Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift shop employee, is plagued by blackouts and disturbing visions of another life. He soon discovers he shares his body with Marc Spector, a hardened mercenary who serves as the human avatar of Khonshu, the ancient Egyptian god of the moon.

As Steven and Marc struggle for control, they’re pulled into a dark mystery involving ancient gods, supernatural powers, and a cult led by the fanatical Arthur Harrow, who seeks to unleash the judgmental goddess Ammit upon the world.

From the chaotic streets of London to the mystical sands of Egypt, Moon Knight’s story explores identity, trauma, and heroism in a deeply psychological and mythological setting. With reality often shifting, nothing is as it seems in this intense, mind-bending Marvel adventure.

Moon Knight Review - 8/10 Rating

We rated Moon Knight an 8/10 — a refreshingly unique Marvel series with powerful performances, bold storytelling, and a visually striking style.

Oscar Isaac gives a phenomenal dual (and sometimes triple) performance as Steven/Marc, managing to make each persona feel distinct and compelling. The show’s exploration of dissociative identity disorder adds emotional depth and breaks away from typical superhero formulas, leaning into horror and mythology.

The visuals are some of Marvel’s most ambitious, especially during the episodes set in Egypt and the surreal underworld sequences. Khonshu’s eerie presence and the Egyptian pantheon storyline set this series apart from the rest of the MCU’s street-level heroes.

We especially appreciated how the series handled themes of mental health and trauma without sacrificing action or momentum. The finale brought emotional closure while still leaving the door open for more — especially with the reveal of Jake Lockley, a third personality with a deadly edge.

We’d love to see Moon Knight return — whether in a second season or as part of a future Avengers lineup. There’s so much more story to explore with this complex and layered hero.
