Red Sonja Storyline

Red Sonja follows the legendary warrior after her family is destroyed by the evil Queen Gedren, who seeks ultimate power using a mystical talisman. Swearing revenge, Sonja begins a dangerous journey across a brutal fantasy world, crossing paths with the mighty Kalidor along the way. Based on the Marvel comic character inspired by Robert E. Howard’s world, it became a cult sword-and-sorcery classic.

Red Sonja Review - 6/10 Rating

Red Sonja is gloriously cheesy fantasy cinema and knows exactly what it is. Brigitte Nielsen looks like she walked straight out of a fantasy cover painting, while Arnold Schwarzenegger turns up basically playing legally-distinct Conan. The film is dramatic, melodramatic and wonderfully over-the-top. It is not subtle, but if you love comic fantasy and big practical adventure filmmaking, there is a lot of fun to be had here.
