Blue Beetle Storyline
Blue Beetle tells the origin story of Jaime Reyes, a recent college graduate from Palmera City who unexpectedly bonds with a powerful alien artifact known as the Scarab. This ancient piece of biotechnology chooses Jaime as its host, encasing him in a sentient, armored exosuit that grants him incredible abilities — including flight, weapon creation, and energy manipulation.
As Jaime struggles to balance his newfound powers with his desire to protect his close-knit Mexican-American family, he finds himself caught in a corporate conspiracy involving Kord Industries and its ruthless leader, Victoria Kord. With the help of his family and the guidance of the Scarab’s AI, Jaime embraces his role as a reluctant hero — the first of a new generation.
