Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Storyline

Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Stephen Strange faces the chaotic consequences of tampering with reality. When a young multiverse-traveling teen, America Chavez, crashes into his world, Strange is thrust into a dimension-hopping adventure to stop a terrifying new threat.

Haunted by dreams of alternate realities and strange variants of himself, Strange seeks help from fellow sorcerers, including Wong and Wanda Maximoff — now the Scarlet Witch, consumed by the dark magic of the Darkhold. As Wanda pursues America to harness her powers for a personal quest, Strange must navigate fractured worlds, encounter versions of himself, and confront moral dilemmas across the multiverse.

With the multiverse unraveling and the boundaries between good and evil blurring, Strange is forced to question everything he knows about magic, destiny, and sacrifice — leading to a mind-bending battle with cosmic consequences.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Review - 7/10 Rating

We gave Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness a 7/10 — a visually bold and stylistically unique MCU entry that takes big creative swings, but doesn’t always land them.

Sam Raimi’s signature horror flair is front and center, bringing a darker, more twisted tone to the Marvel universe. From jump scares to undead Strange, it’s packed with wild visuals and daring choices that make it one of the MCU’s most distinctive films. The creativity is undeniable — but at times, the pacing and emotional depth struggle to keep up with the chaos.

Benedict Cumberbatch continues to bring charisma and intelligence to Doctor Strange, and Xochitl Gomez is a promising new addition as America Chavez. But it’s Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch who steals the show — delivering a tragic, terrifying performance that elevates the film’s emotional stakes.

While the multiverse concept opens doors to fan-favorite cameos and alternate versions of characters, it sometimes feels underdeveloped. Still, it’s a bold, creepy ride — and a fun, if slightly messy, detour in the MCU’s growing cosmic saga.
