Our Private Screening of Fantastic Four: First Steps – A Marvel-ous Night at the BFI IMAX
This week, we were lucky enough to be invited by @DisneyStudioUK and Marvel UK to an exclusive private screening of Fantastic Four: First Steps in the heart of London — and what a night it was! Held at the spectacular BFI IMAX in Waterloo, the event wasn’t just a film screening… it was a celebration of Marvel’s First Family reimagined for a whole new generation.
⭐ A Fan-Filled Affair with Creators, Cosplayers & Celebs
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your average cinema night. The energy was buzzing as content creators, cosplayers, influencers, and even a few familiar celebrity faces packed into the venue, all united by their love for the Marvel universe.
Outside the entrance, fans were welcomed by Herbie the Robot, rolling around and interacting with guests in true Marvel style. Inside, the foyer was transformed with Fantastic Four-themed decor, merchandise stands, and drinks flowing freely. We were handed exclusive goody bags filled with FF merch — from limited-edition posters and badges to collectible treats.
The night was elevated even further with a surprise appearance from TV presenter Melvin Odoom, who jumped on the mic to personally thank everyone for coming. It was a great moment of appreciation that made the evening feel like something really special — a celebration with the fans, not just for them.
🌀 The Movie: Comedy, Heart, and Cosmic Chaos
And then… the lights dimmed. Time for Fantastic Four: First Steps. Let us just say it — the movie is FANTASTIC.
Without giving too much away (don’t worry — no spoilers here!), the film strikes a perfect balance between high-stakes action, witty humour, emotional depth, and cosmic spectacle. The chemistry between the new cast is instant. You’ll laugh. You’ll get misty-eyed. And at one point, you’ll definitely say, “Wait… WHAT just happened?!”
The movie focuses on the team’s early days — how Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are thrust together and forced to find unity in chaos. There’s comedy, love, heartbreak, and one very big, very ominous cosmic entity that devours worlds. Yep — this film isn’t afraid to get big, bold, and existential.
There are twists and turns throughout, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. If this is the “first step,” we can’t wait to see where this team is headed next.
